Your Lumina account controls real money. A few minutes of setup meaningfully reduces the ways it can be compromised.
How you sign in
There are three ways to sign in to Lumina: with your email and password, with your Google account, or with your Apple account (the Continue with Google and Continue with Apple buttons on the sign-in screen). Phone verification during signup is part of identity verification; your phone is not a sign-in method.
If you use a password, use one you don't use anywhere else, ideally from a password manager. If you signed up with Google or Apple, your Lumina sign-in is protected by that account, so secure that account with the same care.
Two-factor authentication
Lumina supports two-factor authentication using an authenticator app (Authy, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator all work).
To enable it: Settings → Security → Enable 2FA. You'll scan a QR code with your authenticator app (or copy the setup key manually) and confirm with a 6-digit code. From then on, signing in asks for the current 6-digit code from your app.
2FA is optional, but we recommend it: a stolen password alone is no longer enough to reach your account. Disabling it asks you to confirm and may require you to re-authenticate first.
Changing or resetting your password
Change: Settings → Security → Change password. You'll enter your current password and a new one. (This section appears only if your account uses a password; Google and Apple accounts manage credentials with those providers.)
Forgot: use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link.
If something looks wrong
If you see a login you don't recognize, a trade you didn't place, or a withdrawal you didn't start:
Change your password immediately (or secure your Google/Apple account if you sign in socially).
Enable 2FA if it isn't already on.
Contact support right away, through the in-app support chat or at [email protected].
Don't try to reverse anything by trading. Let support investigate first.
What Lumina will never do
Lumina will never ask you for your password, your full SSN, or an authenticator code by phone, email, or social media. Anyone doing so is not Lumina.
